2. What personal data do we process?
Depending on your contact with us, we process the following information:
- Title, initials, surname and address
- Email address, telephone number, country code and country
- Arrival and departure dates, number of people and reservation details
- Type, number and dimensions of camping units
- Number of dogs and optional electricity for a hiker tent
- Your acceptance of the Adults Only policy, privacy statement and conditions
- How you found us and information you enter in comments
- Payment and invoice information when a reservation is made
- Limited technical data such as IP address and form metadata for security and spam prevention
3. Why do we process data?
We use data to assess availability and answer questions, prepare and perform the agreement, maintain contact, process payments, meet financial and legal obligations and protect the form and website against misuse. Without required information, we may be unable to assess or fulfil your reservation.
4. Reservation form and email
The form is processed on our own web hosting and sent through a secured connection to our mail server. Guests receive an automatic acknowledgement. For spam and security checks, we may temporarily process the IP address and sending time. The mail-server password is not stored in public website files.
5. Sharing personal data
We only share data when needed for our service or required by law, for example with providers of email, hosting, administration, payments and IT management. They may only process data for the agreed service and must apply suitable security. We never sell personal data.
6. Retention periods
We retain data only as long as necessary.
- Unsuccessful enquiries: up to 12 months after the last correspondence
- Reservation and stay data: up to 2 years after the stay, unless needed longer for a dispute
- Invoices and financial administration: 7 years under Dutch tax law
- Afterwards data is deleted or anonymised unless law or an ongoing dispute requires longer retention
7. Cookies and external services
The website does not use advertising or tracking cookies. Strictly necessary functional technologies may be used without consent. If analytics, maps, booking tools or other external services requiring consent are added later, we will request consent first and update this statement.
8. Security
We take appropriate technical and organisational measures against loss, misuse and unauthorised access. Access is limited to people who need data for their work. Contact us immediately if you suspect misuse or a data breach.
9. Your privacy rights
You may request access, correction, deletion, restriction or transfer of your data, object to processing based on legitimate interests and withdraw consent. Email info@campinghetvissertje.nl. We normally respond within one month and may verify your identity. You may also complain to the Dutch Data Protection Authority.
10. Minors, automated decisions and changes
This is an Adults Only campsite and the form is not intended for anyone under 18. We do not make decisions with significant effects based solely on automated processing. We may update this statement when our website, services or legislation changes; the latest version is always published here.
